Months away from the world living amid the COVID-19 pandemic for two years, the United States and Venezuela finally get ready to lift major restrictions. Meanwhile, Africa and Eastern Europe are still struggling with the virus but that could change with incoming aid.

The world is just five months away from living amid a pandemic for two years, and some countries are finally easing major restrictions for a sense of normality. In the U-S, President Joe Biden has lifted severe travel restrictions on China, India and much of Europe -effective from November the 8th.  He's also imposing new vaccine requirements for most foreign national air travelers.  In Eastern Europe, the European Union has disbursed 900 million dollars  to Ukraine, helping its neighbour through the economic shock of the pandemic. It's a positive move for the nation with just 20 per-cent of its residents fully inoculated.
