Donald Trump has been defending his own record on combating the coronavirus pandemic,saying the virus was exploding around the world. The latest figures reveal there have been more than 4.8 million coronavirus cases in the US and nearly 160,000 deaths. Latin America, which has around eight per cent of the world's population, accounts for close to 30 per cent of global cases and fatalities, with infections still spreading fast.
