Sinulog, the celebration of devotion to the so-called Santo Niño, is one of the oldest celebrations in the Philippines, or more particularly in Cebu.

And the cultural and religious festival, held every 3rd Sunday of January has also been spread by Filipinos around the world.

Exposed to the yearly ritual when was young, Mila Alforque, who was born in Cebu committed to continue the tradition when she immigrated to Australia in 1976.  She did, initially at her own house, then eventually in the church and the community. And after nearly 30 years, it has become part of the calendar of the community
