Dan Soto of St Burgs shares a homemade burger recipe you can easily make at home.

Homemade Beef Burger
Ingredients:
For the burger patty:
500 grams quality beef mince (make 4 patties)
4 American cheese slices
1 Onion
1 Baby cos Lettuce
2 Tomatoes
1 Jar of bread and butter pickles
4 Burger buns ( Dan Soto recommends Aldi brioche buns)
Whole egg mayo
Ketchup
Mustard
Gherkins or pickled cucumber
For the special sauce:
1/2 Cup Mayo
2 Tbsp Ketchup
2 Tbsp Mustard
2 Tbsp chopped Gherkins
2 Tsp finely chopped Onions
1/4 Tsp finely minced Garlic

Method:
1. Roll 4 evenly sized balls with the minced beef.
2. Heat up the a heavy cast iron skillet until it’s super hot.
3. Place the rolled ball of mince into the skillet and press down onto it with a metal spatula until it has a diameter of a burger patty. (Repeat step with each ball)
4. Allow to cook for 1 minute then flip and add sliced cheese.
5. Once cheese has melted remove from skillet and allow to rest.
6. Butter burger buns and place on a new grill pan to toast, once golden remove and begin burger assembly.

1. Bottom bun
2. Special Sauce
3. Lettuce (1 leaf)
4. Patty with cheese
5. Tomato slices
6. Ketchup, mustard and pickles then top bun
