LIVE interpretation of the televised debates between Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese will be live-streamed through SBS On Demand and Social platforms in Arabic, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Mandarin. You can also catch up via SBS On Demand after the broadcast.
The next debate between the leaders will take place at 9.10pm AEST on Wednesday and be broadcast live in English on Channel 7 and 7plus.
This offering is the latest from the multilingual broadcaster, which included and the and second leaders' debate on 8 May.
It is all part of the SBS's commitment to making election coverage in the lead-up to the May 21 poll more accessible for multicultural communities, Managing Director James Taylor says.
It comes as the continues to roll on ahead of election day, with events held in NSW and Victoria this weekend.
SBS Director of Audio and Language Content David Hua says in addition to the translations of leaders’ and ministers’ debates, Election Exchange events are in full swing.
"The exchanges involve SBS’s language services heading into the community and hosting a series of events to speak with local candidates and members of the public in the lead up to the 2022 Federal Election," Mr Hua says.
“Successful events have been held in Bankstown, Hobart, Launceston, Dandenong, Broadmeadows, Wagga Wagga, Eastwood and Ballarat."
