Victoria
Victoria has recorded 1,763 new locally acquired cases, marking the highest daily tally of any Australian state or territory since the pandemic. Four people have died.

NSW has recorded 608 new locally acquired cases and seven deaths,

Stay-at-home orders have been extended until 11 October in Taree, Forster-Tuncurry and Muswellbrook due to increasing case numbers in those areas.

The territory has recorded 33 locally acquired cases, with at least 14 in the community while infectious.
A total of 94 per cent of people aged 12 and over have had one dose of the vaccine, while more than 65 per cent have received their second dose.
