Victoria has recorded six new local cases of COVID-19 on the first day of statewide lockdown. The health department has confirmed there were 10 new COVID case in the 24 hours to Friday morning, four of which were already reported by authorities. All the cases are linked to known outbreaks. The total number of active cases in Victoria is 36.

New South Wales has recorded 97 local cases of COVID-19 today. 29 of the new cases were in the community for their entire infectious period. 75 cases are in hospital, 18 in the intensive care unit, and five are on ventilators.
