COVID-19 update: Sydney opens new walk-in vaccine clinics

  • Walk-in vaccine clinics are open in Western Sydney.
  • Victoria and SA end lockdown at midnight.
  • No new cases in SA and Queensland.

New South Wales
New South Wales has recorded 172 new locally acquired cases, with at least 60 in the community while infectious. An apartment block is in Blacktown under police guard after six residents tested positive to COVID-19.

From tomorrow, over 18s can get the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from , says Premier Gladys Berejiklian urging everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Victoria
Victoria has recorded 10 new locally cases, all in quarantine while infectious. The fifth lockdown is due to end at 11:59 pm AEST tonight, but some restrictions will remain for another two weeks.

Victorians are not allowed to have visitors in their homes, public gatherings are limited to 10 people, and mandatory face mask restrictions remain. Find here the .

  • Wagga Wagga, Hay, Lockhart and Murrumbidgee are no longer included in Victoria’s cross-border bubble arrangement with NSW.
  • Only about 15 per cent of over 60s have been fully vaccinated, according to Commonwealth data.
