New South Wales
NSW has recorded 390 new locally acquired cases and two deaths. At least 60 cases were in the community while infectious.
The majority of 25 new cases in Dubbo and Walgett are diagnosed in Aboriginal people, including children.
NSW Health’s Dr Maryanne Gale says that in the last two weeks younger adults, aged 20-29, are among the most affected by COVID-19 and urges everyone to come forward for vaccination.
Victoria
Victoria has recorded 15 new locally acquired cases, out of which four are not linked to known outbreaks.
Premier Daniel Andrews says the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will be available to everyone over the age of 18 at every state-run vaccination hub and points out the government wants one million people to receive a vaccine over the next five weeks.
