Queensland is opening its border to fully vaccinated domestic travellers

  • From 5pm today fully vaccinated people will be allowed to travel to Queensland as long as they travel by air and have proof of a negative test within the previous 72 hours and home quarantine for 14 days.  The state reached its 70 per cent double vaccination target for over 16s yesterday.

  • South Australia will no longer enforce state-wide COVID-19 lockdowns from next week when it's expected to reach its 80 per cent double jab coverage target.

  • The Victorian state government will distribute free rapid antigen testing kits to kindergartens and long daycare centres this week to help manage COVID-19 outbreaks in early childhood services.

COVID STATISTICS:

Victoria announced 860 new COVID-19 infections and five deaths.

There are 165 cases of COVID-19 in NSW and one death.
