The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) is reviewing evidence on Comirnaty (Pfizer) before the vaccine is approved as a booster in 12- to 15-year-olds.
ATAGI has urged parents of children aged 5-11 to book their appointments for the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Western Australia is likely to ease 'Level 2' measures to 'Level 1' from 12.01 am Thursday 31 March, despite a rise in new COVID cases since 7 March with 2,365 infections. The state reached its peak with 8,616 new cases on 24 March.

Professor Catherine Bennett, Chair of Epidemiology at Deakin University, has cautioned against the over-reliance on RATs due to accuracy issues. She says the accuracy of a RAT differs in house settings. For instance, the results may vary if people had food or brushed their teeth half an hour before the test.
