'Dutch queen bees help Australian bees to deal with Varroa mite'

Apiarist David Briggs tries to make the Australian honey bee more resistant to the Varroa mite, a nasty parasite that infests bee colonies around the world. The mite has recently been detected in New South Wales. Genetic material from Dutch queen bees is used to make the Australian bees stronger.
