Cancer patients may have many side effects when they are receiving cancer treatments in hospitals, such as nausea, weight loss and weakened immunity. Patients sometimes may feel anxious and depressed as well.
Greg Connolly is a senior lecturer of Southern School of Natural Therapies, who has a focus on integrative cancer care for 22 years. Although natural therapy is not able to cure cancer, Dr. Connolly believes that naturopathy can really help all the side effects of hospital cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and help patients have better physical and mental state to complete hospital treatment.

In addition, naturopathy has a strong focus on patients’ emotional state and energy. Naturopathic practitioners look closely at patients and discuss with them about their anxiety, stress or the problem of sleep, and make sure that patients could receive a good support with their families and friend.
Dr. Connolly shares stories about his work and gave advice on healthy eating and cancer prevention. He believes that Asian food and Mediterranean food are healthier.
