Prime Minister Scott Morrison has met with the United States President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in Argentina.
The meeting, which lasted around 15 minutes, came after Mr Morrison met with the French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the navy submarine contract, reforming the World Trade Organisation and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
President Trump has commended Scott Morrison on the job he has done so far as prime minister.
Trade is the major focus of the summit, with all eyes on Mr Trump's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The two superpowers have been fighting a trade war, which is threatening to hurt the global economy as billions of dollars of tariffs have been slapped on products.
Mr Morrison says he's been pleased with the way the leaders have been working to cooperate on trade.
