Have you ever hear of "Tiger toast?" What about bangers? A national cuisine can be hard to define for newly arrived migrants so SBS Mandarin sought out answers from everyday Australians to find out more:
SBS Mandarin also asked Chinese Australians what they thought Aussie food was, via the social media platforms Weibo and Facebook. Some of the comments included:

"My deepest impression was about all types of burgers."

"BBQ+beer definitely make Aussies' day!"

Another commentater provided a full list :

"For snacks, my vote goes to Tim Tams and cereal; dessert must be Lamingtons; main course is our national food - barbecue lol. Better with lobster and oysters - a cup of Flat White completes it."

The barbecue is clearly a popular choice among most people - and with good reason. The Prime Minister even threw an Aussie barbie for the worlds' 20 most powerful leaders when they attended the G20 summit in 2014, in the grounds of Queensland's Parliament House
One comments: "Thanks to diversity, we can eat food from other countries..."
