But, in an interview with American network C-B-S, Mr Trump said part of the wall could be a fence.
During his race against Democrat Hillary Clinton, Mr Trump repeatedly promised to make Mexico pay for the border wall, part of his plan to toughen immigration law and secure the border.
In his latest interview, he also said between two and three million illegal immigrants will be imprisoned or deported from the U-S after he takes office.
"What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal or have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, we have a lot of these people, probably two million, could even be three million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incacrcerate. But, we are getting them our country. They are here illegally."

一份澳大利亚的民调显示，三分之二的澳洲人不支持特朗普竞选美国总统，18到24岁的年轻选民中，有超过80%的人反对特朗普。
