Melbourne will become the most populated city in Australia by 2028.

Melbourne's yearly intake is around 125,000, the size of Ballarat. Melbourne's population just passed 3.5 million in 2001, while now the number is over 4.8 million. 

In Melton, at west of Melbourne, a baby is born every four hours. Its population triples since 2001. 

As predicted, Melbourne will reach the size of London and New York nowadays by 2050.
