No Muslim family should engage in birth control: Turkey's Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged the country's Muslims to reject contraception and have more children.

Women's groups have been critical of the President's remarks on the issue previously, in which he equated birth control with treason.

However, Mr Erdogan's latest comments make it clear his views have not softened.

(trans) I am saying clearly we will multiply our descendents. We will increase our generations. They talk about population planning..birth control. No Muslim family can have such an approach. We will folow the path and advice of God and our beloved Prophet."
