Karaoke Atop Sydney Harbour Bridge For Chinese New Year 2017

Running from 21st January to 6th March 2017, BridgeClimb has re-invented its unique Chinese New Year celebration experience at the top of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Karaoke Climb, to incorporate ten of 2016’s biggest hits.

Songs were voted in by followers of Houson; a key social media influencer in the Asian pop music scene with more than 4 million followers.

The vote reveals that it’s the big hits of 2016 that China wants to sing in the Year of the Rooster. The 10 songs to be sung 134 metres above the sparkling Sydney Harbour, include A Little Luck (小幸运) and Brightest Star In The Night Sky (夜空中最亮的星). These contemporary karaoke favourites will give the experience a fresh and completely different feel to last year’s people’s choice track list that was dominated by timeless romantic classics.

expects that hearts will still be a flutter however as friends and family can, for a limited time, book onto The Karaoke Climb and take part in an authentic Sydney experience whist celebrating the New Year in a truly memorable way.

Groups of up to 14 complete a bucket-list journey of 1,002 steps. They safely ascend the arches of one of Australia’s best loved icons to historical and contemporary commentary about the city and its Bridge. Plasma TV screens, microphones and concert style speakers await them at the summit.

Operate daily between Saturday 21st January and Monday 6th March 2017 inclusive. Following the standard BridgeClimb Mandarin route to the summit and will depart each day at 10.50am, 3.00pm, 3.10pm and 7.50pm.

For those who want to challenge their English singing and listening, this year for the first time an equivalent experience has also been developed for an English speaking audience and will run on the same days at 9.50am, 12.10pm, 2.40pm and 8pm.

Each Climber receives a complimentary 8-second video to share with their family and friends on social media.
