"Fake police officers" rob a Asian supermarket in Sydney

Police are looking for two men who claimed them to be police officers in order to rob an Asian supermarket in southwest Sydney.

, two men entered an Asian supermarket on Beamish Street in Campsie last night. They walked towards a 32-year-old employee and claimed themselves as police officers.

The two men presented their identifications.  After that, they demanded money from the supermarket staff.

The worker refused. They then hit him in the face and stole his gold chain.

After they left the store, they were witnessed on Beamish Street.

People who witnessed the dispute reported it to the real police patrolling nearby, and then the police protected the crime scene.

Supermarket employee’s face got lacerated and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police called on the public to help identify the two with the description provided by witnesses.

According to the description, one of them is from the Middle East, about 30 to 40 years old, with short black hair.  The other man was white, about 35 years old, with blond hair tied in a bun. He was wearing a suit and sunglasses at the time of the crime.
