Shan Ju Lin, a candidate disendorsed by Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party, says she'll stand as an independent in Queensland's state election.

A candidate dumped by One Nation for homophobic comments has announced she'll stand as an independent against controversial Labor MP Jo-Ann Miller in the Queensland election.

Shan Ju Lin was disendorsed by the party for several homophobic comments on social media, including that gay people should be treated as mental patients.

One Nation won't stand a candidate in the Ipswich seat, but said it would welcome the outspoken Ms Miller into the party if she chose to defect.
