Following the cartwheel, Wang stood firmly in front of the Deputy Dean and received his degree with a surprising and cheerful hooray in the audience.

Wang posted the video to YouTube where it quickly racked up over 7,000 views from shares among the local international students on the Chinese-language social media platform .
I wanted "to make everyone remember me, and to let everyone know it is such an honor to graduate."
After living and studying in Australia for nine years, from English course, Year 10 and all the way until now graduating as Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with excellence, Wang tells SBS Mandarin that he really wanted to express himself at this special moment, "to make everyone remember me, and to let everyone know it is such an honor to graduate."

He says wanted to add the "wow" factor to a rather "quite formal" occasion, because after all graduation is "a truly happy and celebratory occasion for the graduates."

Wang, who is nicknamed 'Iron Man' by his friends, said hand-flip is nothing difficult for him thanks to practicing martial arts since he was 17-years-old as well as recent trampoline training. He even planned to make his movement harder, but gave up the idea for safety concern due to restraint of the stage and heavy gowns.

Following the stunt performance, Wang said the Dean said to him on the stage: "that was very good! Congratulations you achieved very highly in your degree with Excellence. Well done!"

"My nickname is Iron man, because I admire the quite real hero figure who develops technology by his intelligence," explains Wang.

"It has been motivating me since I came to Australia."
