Actor Jessica Falkholt dies after Boxing Day car crash that killed her family

Former Home and Away actor Jessica Falkholt has died in hospital after her life support was turned off last week.

Actor Jessica Falkholt has died on Wednesday morning after she sustained injuries in a Boxing Day car crash killed her family.

A St George Hospital spokesperson confirmed the former Home and Away died at 10.20am on Wednesday.

"On behalf of the family of Jessica Falkholt, St George Hospital has been asked to advise the media and the community of Jessica’s passing today at 10.20am," the statement read.

"Jessica passed away from serious injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on 26 December, 2017.

"The family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time."

The Home and Away actor and her younger sister Annabelle were pulled from the fiery wreckage of their car near Ulladulla on Boxing Day but her parents Lars and Vivian died at the scene.

Annabelle, 21, died from her injuries three days after the head-on crash.
