Commended award holder Sadman Nakib Swapnil

Sadman Nakib Swapnil received Commended award from NSW Education department in 2017 for his excellence in Bangla language. Practicing Bangla in family level was the crucial matter behind this, said Sadman and his mother Nusrat Jahan Smriti.


Minister’s Awards for Excellence in student achievement for community languages are given every year from NSW department of Education. The nomination procedure is not started yet for the year of 2018.

In last year, 2017, the students received Commended and Highly Commended awards for Bangla language. They are: Sadman Nakib Swapnil from Blacktown Boys, Nashita Ahsan from Epping West Public School and Meghla Basu from Rockdale Public School.

SBS Bangla talks with Sadman Nakib Swapnil and his mother Nusrat Jahan Smriti. Both of them emphasise on the practice of Bangla language in the family level.
