North South University (NSU), the first private university in Bangladesh, was established in 1992. The Aussie NSUers Association has been formed in January, 2011 aims to deliver the most effective NSUers relationship anywhere in Australia.


NSU graduates living in Australia held an Alumni Night on March 3, 2018 at Blacktown International Sportspark in Sydney. It was organised by Aussie NSUers Association.

The event brought together a community of NSU alumni’s from all over Sydney who had a wonderful occasion to catch up, network and celebrate the get together. In addition to hundreds of NSU alumni’s, there were respected faculty members from many renowned Australian universities.

The NSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Atique Islam attended the programme along with some members from Board of Trustees: Mr Azim Uddin Ahmed, Mr Benajir Ahmed, Mr M. A. Kashem, Mrs Yasmin Kamal and Mrs Rehana Rahman and Dr. Katherine Li, Director, Office of External Affairs graced the night.

In his speech Professor Islam praised highly of its notable involvement in many humanitarian and cultural activities.

Later some of the NSUers were awarded for their achievements in Sports, Academic field and other activities.
